Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever has called an emergency meeting of the government security council due to the detection of drones. This is reported by Radio Liberty.
Last night, drones were spotted in the country's airspace, halting flights at several airports.
The meeting is scheduled for the morning of November 6 at the request of the country's interior minister, who asked to discuss the incidents that led to the cancellation of numerous flights.
At the main airport in Brussels, flights were stopped on the evening of November 4 after drone sightings were suspected, according to an airport spokesman.
Air traffic was also halted as a precautionary measure at the second-largest airport in Charleroi.
