Speed Limit Adjustments in Kyiv and Dnipro

Learn about the new speed limit regulations in Kyiv and Dnipro that will take effect on November 1.

Starting November 1, speed limits for vehicles exceeding 50 km/h will change in Kyiv and Dnipro. This was announced by Olexiy Biloshytskyi, the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department.
In Kyiv, the speed limit will be reduced from 80 km/h to 50 km/h on four sections:

  • Naberezhne Shose (from Postal Square to Nadnipryansky Shose);
  • R. Shukhevych Avenue (from the Northern Bridge to Honoré de Balzac Street);
  • Stepan Bandera Avenue (from Yordan Street to the Northern Bridge);
  • Naberezhno-Rybalska Street (heading from Electricity Street to the Havan Bridge).

In Dnipro, the speed limit will decrease from 70 km/h to 50 km/h on these sections:

Naberezhna Zavodska Street, excluding areas:

  • 200 m on both sides of the intersection with Pavlova Street;
  • from the slag heap exit to the turnaround at the Kadyatsky Bridge;
  • 50 m on both sides of uncontrolled pedestrian crossings in the area of intersections with Fatima Hafurova Street (SK "Ice Arena" and Metrobuilding Street);
  • Naberezhna Peremohy Street (from Yarużna Street to Kosmichna Street);
  • Zaporizke Shose (from Shynna Street to Airport Street);
  • Donetsk Shose, from the intersection with Berezinska Street to the road signs 5.49 (50) "Dnipro";
  • Sunny Naberezhna Street, from the intersection with Lyubarsky Street to the Samarsky Bridge (excluding areas 50 m to uncontrolled pedestrian crossings on both sides);
  • Central Bridge;
  • Kadyatsky Bridge;
  • Ust-Samarsky Bridge.

Biloshytskyi also mentioned that on streets where automatic monitoring of traffic violations is implemented, specifically:

  • in Kyiv — on Naberezhne Shose, 4,
  • in Dnipro — on Naberezhna Zavodska Street, 64 and Naberezhna Peremohy, 38-A, automatic monitoring systems will be adjusted to the newly permitted speed limits.
