A new sculpture resembling a sharpened pencil has been unveiled in Kyiv, honoring writers, journalists, and literati.
“This pencil is almost sharpened as a symbol of active talent use rather than being hidden away,” explained the project creator, Yuliya Bevzenko.
The mini-sculpture is located on the building that has housed the publishing house “Smoloskyp” for the last twenty years.
This place has been a gathering spot for those who have contributed to a new chapter in Ukrainian literature.
“Touch the pencil — gain inspiration,” the authors claim.
The address of the charming pencil is Kyiv, Mezhyhirskaya Street, 21.
