Strengthening Cybersecurity: NATO's Conference in Tirana

NATO's two-day conference in Tirana focuses on enhancing the Alliance's cybersecurity.

NATO organized a two-day conference in Tirana, the capital of Albania, aimed at strengthening the Alliance's cybersecurity. According to NATO's press service.
In a video address to the annual conference, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized the importance of further enhancing the Alliance and its allies in the digital realm.
«Every day, various entities operate in cyberspace against us, attempting to undermine our defenses and threaten our critical infrastructure,» stated the Secretary General.
He reminded that in response to the rapidly evolving cyber threats, NATO established an Integrated Cyber Defense Center.
The center employs civilian and military cyber specialists, including those from the industry, to improve situational awareness and enhance collective resilience against cyber threats.
«Allies are also increasing their investments in cybersecurity,» said the Secretary General, highlighting that NATO provides a unique network through which allies can respond to cyber threats. Investments are aimed at enhancing allies' capabilities to detect, prevent, and respond to malicious activities in cyberspace.
«No one in NATO will be left alone,» the Secretary General declared. – «In this digital age, we stand together against those who wish to harm us».
Key topics of the two-day discussions in Tirana include promoting a more decisive and proactive cyber defense, particularly through closer cooperation between the private and public sectors, and strengthening NATO's role as a platform for holding cyber criminals accountable.
