In 2026, couples in Ukraine will have the option to quickly divorce using the online service, Diia. To initiate the process, they only need to submit a divorce application. This new service, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, will be available for couples without minor children.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the previous procedure required multiple visits to government offices and paperwork. Now, the process will be simplified — no more queues and unnecessary trips.
After submitting the application, the system will automatically verify the information in the registers, and the marriage will be dissolved within a month. During this time, the application can be withdrawn. A divorce certificate will also be issued through the application.
