In Ukraine, an online certification program for de-mining operators is set to launch through the "Diia" platform. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"From now on, almost all stages can be completed remotely: from application submission for certification to appeals. The only part that will remain offline is the on-site inspection," Svyrydenko noted.
Separate offices will be provided for operators and certification bodies, enabling fast document and comment exchanges.
Each stage will have clearly defined timelines, with the minimum certification time being at least 1 month.
Currently, there are 125 registered operators in Ukraine, most of whom are Ukrainian, with only 8 being foreign.
"Scaling and speeding up de-mining is among the key priorities of the government, as Ukraine is currently one of the most mined countries in the world," Svyrydenko added.
