The Notary Chamber of Ukraine demands an immediate halt to e-notary testing due to serious incidents involving data leaks, particularly from the registers of powers of attorney and inheritance, including wills.

This information has been made public on the official website of the Notary Chamber.

The statement reads: «The Notary Chamber of Ukraine has approached the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, and Minister of Justice Herman Haluschenko, requesting protection of notarial confidentiality and cessation of e-notary testing».

During training with the e-notary system, real data from the Unified Register of Powers of Attorney and the Inheritance Register, including information about wills, became accessible.

According to the NPU, this constitutes a serious violation of legislation regarding notarial confidentiality and citizens' rights. The NPU expresses its willingness to engage in discussions on all proposals and comments to address the issues related to the e-notary testing.

Mykhailo Fedorov announced the start of testing for the e-notary platform on September 2. Earlier, he had announced six new services in "Diia", including AI Assistant, e-Excise, and e-Notary.
