In the capital of Ukraine, at the National Guard Medical Center, another innovative combined reconstructive surgery was performed aimed at restoring functionality and aesthetics of the injured areas of a soldier's face who suffered a severe injury. This time, specialized assistance was provided to a serviceman from the United Assault Brigade of the National Police «Lut». This was reported by the National Guard of Ukraine.

The operation was conducted by a team of doctors from the National Guard Medical Center in collaboration with leading specialists from the National Medical University named after O.O. Bohomolets, particularly Professor Yuriy Chepurnyi from the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery.

The medical team successfully reconstructed the alveolar process of the upper jaw using a custom-made titanium implant, employing osteoplastic material and the patient’s own bone.

The next phase will involve installing a custom maxillary prosthesis and preparing for the future installation of dental implants, which will restore the integrity of the dental arch, function, and aesthetic appearance.

The patient is reported to be feeling well, under medical supervision, and preparing for the next stages of reconstructive treatment. The operation was made possible by a tripartite Memorandum of Interaction between the National Guard Medical Center, the charity organization «Doctors for Heroes», and the company «IMATECH MEDICAL».
