National Bank Holds Interest Rate Steady

The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to maintain the interest rate at 15.5%, which will help ensure currency market stability.

The National Bank of Ukraine has made the decision to keep the interest rate unchanged at 15.5%.

This was announced by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshny, during a briefing.

"The Board of the National Bank has decided to maintain the interest rate at 15.5%. This will allow us to continue supporting the stability of the currency market and controlling inflation expectations," Pyshny stated.

It is worth noting that in January 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine raised the interest rate to 10%. In June 2022, the rate increased to 25%, remaining at that level for over a year. On July 27, 2023, the interest rate was reduced to 22%, and it continued to decline. In December 2024, in response to inflationary developments, the National Bank began raising the rate to 15.5% in March 2025.
