On the night of September 7, Russia launched another devastating strike on Ukraine, resulting in casualties and numerous injuries. The global community has responded to this cynical aggression.

European Union

The EU ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Maternova, noted that Putin's actions are becoming increasingly desperate as he targets government buildings. She shared her experiences after returning to the capital.

"The thunder of explosions kept me awake, and I had to spend the night in the hotel bathroom, my shelter from the sirens and chaos outside," she recounted.

Maternova emphasized that this was one of the largest aerial assaults since the war began, affecting Kyiv, Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, Dnipro, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.

"This escalation represents true terror from Putin. It is an attack on people and democracy. Ukrainians justly demand not only words but also concrete actions - tougher sanctions against Russia and increased military aid to Ukraine," she added.

Latvia

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs commented that the Russian attack demonstrates the escalation of the conflict, as a government building was damaged.

"The message is clear: the Kremlin seeks war, not peace. Our response should be to supply more weapons to Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia," he wrote on social media.

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, following the attack on the government building, stated that "Russia does not want peace; it seeks more war, aggression, and suffering." She emphasized that Europe must put an end to this.

Czech Republic

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský commented on the massive shelling of Ukraine, stating that Putin "wants to kill as many Ukrainians as possible."

"Last night he launched over 800 drones and missiles, killing a mother and her two-month-old baby. A coward attacking women and children. To speak today of halting aid to Ukraine means siding with the aggressor," he remarked.

Estonia

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna believes that Russia's terrorist behaviors require a decisive response - new, strict sanctions against the Russian Federation and greater support for Ukraine.
