The Ministry of Education and Science is set to introduce an innovative "zero course" for universities.
This was announced by Minister Oksen Lisovyi during a session of the Verkhovna Rada.
"We have developed a draft resolution that proposes the "zero course". This course will allow admission without passing the NMT, enabling children who could not take the NMT for various reasons, such as educational losses or studying abroad", - said Lisovyi.
He emphasized that admission to this course is possible not only during the main campaign but also in winter or spring.
However, according to him, studying in the zero course should help students prepare for the NMT to ensure fair distribution of state resources.
Lisovyi also noted that university rectors support this initiative.
"We expect to attract a significant number of students, including those from abroad", - he added.
This year, 178 thousand applicants have been enrolled in higher education institutions in Ukraine, with more than half receiving financial support from the state.
