In Lviv, hundreds of people gathered to honor the memory of Andriy Parubiy at the Saint George Cathedral, where a Grand Memorial Service took place on September 1st.

This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram, mentioning that he also came to pay his respects to the deceased.

"Today, I said goodbye to Andriy Parubiy. I attended the Grand Memorial Service at the Saint George Cathedral. Many people gathered to honor the memory of a great patriot, a man who sincerely loved Ukraine and dedicated his life to its struggle," wrote Vitali Klitschko.

He spoke with Andriy's father, Mr. Volodymyr Parubiy, thanking him for raising a true warrior for Ukraine and for his support in the mission of building a strong Ukrainian state.

"I expressed my condolences to the family, spoke with Andriy's father, Mr. Volodymyr. I thanked him for raising such a worthy son who always supported and helped in the fight for a free and strong Ukrainian state. Eternal memory to Andriy Parubiy - a bright, decent man and a true fighter for Ukraine. Thanks to people like him, our state has endured and prevailed," noted Vitali Klitschko.
