Having received recognition from Ookla for Q3 and Q4 of 2024, Kyivstar has once again emerged as a leader, winning all three major awards for the first half of 2025. Thus, the operator has been named the best in Ukraine for mobile internet speed and coverage for two consecutive times. These achievements highlight the effectiveness of the company's efforts to enhance service quality.
The Speedtest Awards from Ookla are a significant accolade for mobile and fixed-line operators globally. To determine the winner, Ookla experts analyzed over a million tests conducted by subscribers of all mobile operators in Ukraine during the first and second quarters of 2025. Once again, Kyivstar received three awards in the categories of "Best Mobile Coverage", "Fastest Mobile Network", and "Best Mobile Network" in Ukraine.
According to Ookla's data, the Speed Score for Kyivstar's network was 56.57, the highest among all mobile operators in the country. The Speed Score takes into account download speed, upload speed, and latency to provide a comprehensive picture of the operator's network performance. The average download speed in the operator's network reached 60.63 Mbps, made possible by significant investments in infrastructure and active network development.
Additionally, Kyivstar achieved the best result in coverage testing (Coverage Score) with a score of 35.28. This score is based on the analysis of over 412 million scans conducted at verified locations where operators provide their services. Today, the company boasts the largest 4G network among all electronic communication operators in Ukraine and continues to expand its network. The high-speed 4G network from Kyivstar is now available to over 96% of the population in Ukrainian-controlled territories.
