Norway plans to maintain its high level of support for Ukraine next year, allocating around $8.5 billion.

This was announced by Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre during a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

«Today I confirmed that Norway will continue its high level of support for Ukraine in 2025 and 2026, equivalent to $8.5 billion in 2026, which I will propose to parliament», Støre stated.

He added that the Norwegian parliament had previously unanimously supported the Nansen program, which is dedicated to assisting refugees and migrants and their integration into Norwegian society, expressing confidence that Norway would be able to maintain this support.

Støre emphasized that Norway considers strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities as a key security guarantee and responds to Ukraine's needs.

In this context, he reminded that Norway, together with Germany, co-finances two Patriot systems, including the missiles, helps counter drone and missile attacks, and invests in the Ukrainian industry for effective military equipment production.
