The U.S. State Department has confirmed a new package of services for the maintenance and repair of M777 howitzers for Ukraine, with a total value of $203.5 million.
This was announced in an official Pentagon release.
According to the report, the first phase of the agreement, worth $104 million, involves the supply of military equipment, repair services, and support for M777 howitzers and related equipment. The main contractor for this project will be BAE Systems from the United Kingdom.
The second phase of the agreement, valued at $99.5 million, includes transportation and logistics services. The primary contractor for this contract will be selected from approved U.S. suppliers.
The Pentagon emphasized that there is currently no information regarding any offset agreements within this arrangement.
