Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with National Security Secretary Rustem Umerov and deputy ministers responsible for international cooperation and provision. The main topic was the production of weapons, particularly drones.
Shmyhal shared the details on his Facebook account.
«Today’s agenda focuses on implementing the President's tasks set during the Technological Stake on June 27. We covered all the key points. Primarily, it is about equipping our warriors with the necessary technology and weaponry,» Shmyhal emphasized.
He noted that protecting Ukrainian cities is also a priority.
«We will scale up production in Ukraine and procure interceptor drones from partners that have already proven their effectiveness. We expect to see significant results soon,» Shmyhal highlighted.
Deputies discussed procurement, contracting, and financing production, reviewing priorities. Shmyhal issued relevant directives.
«We are activating efforts in every direction to strengthen our defense potential,» he concluded.
