Since the beginning of 2025, over 4.6 thousand hectares of agricultural land in the Kyiv region have been surveyed, with more than 1 thousand hectares cleared of mines.

This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.

In total, since the onset of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, over 37.6 thousand hectares have been surveyed, including nearly 8,136 hectares of agricultural lands.

According to Kalashnyk, harvesting has begun in Kyiv region, but in order for the fields in the liberated territories to feed people again, they first had to be cleared of deadly remnants.

“Today, farmers are harvesting early grains and legumes. The first harvests in Kyiv region have started in the Bilocherkivskyi district. Initial results are promising – the yield is good. Soon, agricultural producers from all over the region will join the harvesting efforts. A mass harvest of other crops is expected closer to mid-July,” he added.
