Severe Storm Causes Damage in Khmelnytsky Region

A storm in the Khmelnytsky region has damaged buildings and caused power outages in 123 localities.

A severe storm recently hit the Khmelnytsky region, causing significant damage to buildings and resulting in power outages across 123 localities.

This was reported by the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, on social media.

«On the evening of July 8, a storm swept through the Khmelnytsky region, inflicting considerable losses on several communities. Residential buildings were hit the hardest; many roofs were damaged in various villages, and some homes suffered more extensive destruction,» Tyurin stated.

According to him, construction materials will be allocated from the local budget and material reserves for roof repairs. Repair crews from other communities will also join the efforts, along with employees from the State Emergency Service.

Additionally, the storm damaged power lines, leading to a cessation of electricity supply in 123 localities.

Energy workers are already working on restoring power.
