The Council of the President of Ukraine's Fund for Education, Science, and Sports has approved a new educational program aimed at bringing renowned experts from leading global universities to teach in Ukraine.

While foreign lecturers have previously held classes in Ukraine, this initiative will significantly broaden the scope of collaboration with both public and private higher education institutions. Universities will be able to invite lecturers from 250 of the world's top universities, including MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, and Columbia University.

Foreign lecturers will not only conduct online lectures but will also teach students directly in Ukraine for periods ranging from three to nine months.

“Involving foreign lecturers in Ukrainian higher education will improve the quality of education and ultimately help bring back students who left for abroad due to the war,” emphasized Deputy Head of the President's Office of Ukraine, Olena Koval'ska.

Collaboration with foreign universities will also boost the international rankings of Ukrainian institutions.

“This is not just about exchanging experiences; it's about trust in the potential of our education system and creating real opportunities within the country even during wartime. The competition for talent is not only in Ukraine but across the globe. It's vital for us that Ukraine holds significant positions in the global academic dialogue,” highlighted the Presidential Advisor on Education, Science, and Sports, Olga Budnik.

Selection of lecturers will take place online through an electronic system, where expert evaluations will assess candidates. A ranking will be formed based on these evaluations.

The announcement of the competition will occur after the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approves the relevant resolution.
