A tragic accident occurred in Romania where a bus carrying 60 Ukrainian passengers collided with a Romanian minibus, resulting in one death.

The incident took place in the morning of June 30 on the DN2 highway in the Bacau region in the northeast of the country. The bus, which had 60 Ukrainian citizens on board, including 21 children, struck a minibus that was parked on the roadside.

According to Bacau police, a 29-year-old Romanian woman, who was in the minibus, lost her life. Four others from the minibus were seriously injured and hospitalized. One person from the bus was also hospitalized, while six others, including two children, received adequate assistance at the scene.

The nationality of the 40-year-old bus driver is not disclosed, with reports indicating that he is not a Romanian citizen. A breathalyzer test returned negative results.
