According to the president, the passengers were returning from an exchange program held at a French high school in Brittany.

On the way to Paris, the bus lost control and veered off into a ditch.

As of Friday evening, it was reported that four adults had died, three of whom are Ukrainian citizens. Two others are in critical condition.

The remaining children suffered minor to moderate injuries.

“There were a total of 63 people on the bus. The main group consisted of teenagers aged 14 to 18. Unfortunately, we have four fatalities – all adults, three of whom are Ukrainian citizens. One is a man who was accompanying the group from the French side, having contacts with the French high school involved in this exchange. We have two seriously injured individuals in intensive care, one of whom is currently undergoing surgery. Everyone is experiencing significant stress,” said Vadym Omelchenko, the Ambassador of Ukraine to France, in a comment to Ukrinform.
