On the occasion of International Children's Day, celebrated on June 1, the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) invites all Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine worldwide to support the UWC initiative #StandWithUkrainianChildren — protect the future of Ukrainian children.
The main goal of this year's campaign is to unite the global community and political leaders to protect Ukrainian children today, ensure their future in Ukraine, and hold accountable those committing war crimes against children.
Key focuses of the campaign:
- Ensuring the safety of Ukrainian children within Ukraine, including calls for the provision of modern air defense systems.
- Advocating for the return of over 20,000 Ukrainian children who have been illegally deported to Russia, documenting cases of abduction, and calling for diplomatic pressure and sanctions against perpetrators.
- Comprehensive support for Ukraine (military, financial, material) to achieve victory in the war and bring Ukrainian children home.
“Ukraine's victory means the return of children, and the return of children is preserving Ukraine's future,” said UWC Advocacy Committee Chairman Volodymyr Kohutyak.
We invite everyone to join rallies and peaceful demonstrations on June 1, share the stories of Ukrainian children, and spread informational materials.
