Ukrposhta has announced the launch of a new charitable stamp series titled “Honor to Defenders,” dedicated to the Ukrainian infantry.

A total of 1500 copies of the stamp will be produced, as reported by Ukrposhta's press service.

The design is created by Ukrainian artist Andriy Yermolenko, who won the Shevchenko Prize last year for his series “Honor and Glory.”

This release coincides with Infantry Day, celebrated in Ukraine on May 6.

This stamp honors those who risk their lives to protect their homeland, and those who are the first to confront the enemy for freedom. It is in tribute to those who never give up, as stated in the announcement.

Eight hryvnias from each stamp will be allocated for the treatment of Ukrainian defenders who have sustained mine-explosion injuries.

The release is set to take place at the end of May, with the exact date to be announced later. Philatelists will receive a payment link to their emails closer to the official release date.

As a reminder, in March of this year, Ukrposhta released a series of stamps titled “Heroes of Our Time,” dedicated to the defenders of Mariupol and the civilians who lost their lives due to Russian attacks.

These postage stamps are made with metal fragments from the remnants of Azovstal.
