"Ukrposhta" has announced the release of new postage stamps celebrating the resilience of Ukrainian mothers. The presentation was dedicated to Mother’s Day, as reported by the company.
According to "Ukrposhta", the stamp will serve as a symbol of honor and gratitude to Ukrainian mothers.
"Despite the trials of war, Ukrainians honor the women who have raised a nation of heroes. The new postage stamp is dedicated to all mothers who have blessed their children to defend their homeland, to those who preserve the memory of the fallen, and to mothers who have chosen to join the defense forces to secure a future for their children in a free and independent Ukraine", – the postal service explained.
The new stamp "For Mother’s Day. I Live Through You…" features the embrace of a woman in traditional Ukrainian attire and a soldier.
"The woman, symbolizing the image of a mother, wraps her son in a bright yellow embroidered shawl, and her face expresses profound sorrow and tenderness", – added "Ukrposhta".
The design of the special miniature was created by the honored artist of Ukraine, Oleksandr Okhapkin, who also designed the stamp "Under the Protection of the Mother of God".
