President Volodymyr Zelensky, alongside First Lady Olena Zelenska and various high-ranking officials, participated in a ceremony to honor the victims of Holodomor. The event was broadcasted by the Office of the President, with Ukrinform providing a live stream on its YouTube channel.

The ceremony began with a prayer at the Uspensky Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for the millions of innocent lives lost during the Holodomor.

The prayer was led by prominent religious figures, including His Beatitude Epiphanius, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Valeriy Antoniuk, Aider Rustemov, Markos Ohanyan, and Oleksandr Yazlovetsky.

The "Khreshchatyk" choir performed the prayer "Eternal Memory" in remembrance of the millions of Ukrainians who suffered from famine.

Following this, participants marched to the National Museum of Holodomor-Genocide, where they laid sheaves of wheat at the statue of a girl with ears of wheat located on the museum grounds.

The ceremony was also attended by military officials, including National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pyvnenko, Armed Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskiy, and various government representatives.

It is worth noting that Ukraine honors the memory of Holodomor victims each year on the fourth Saturday of November, as mandated by presidential decrees from 1998 and 2007.
