In Ukraine, the Day of Dignity and Freedom was marked with President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska paying tribute to those who died during the events of the Revolution of Dignity. This was reported on the official website of the President.
The Zelensky couple lit candles near the memorial cross on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
In their social media posts, they emphasized that this day signifies recognition of the cost of independence for Ukraine and the efforts required to achieve real sovereignty.
“With a neighbor like Russia, protecting dignity, freedom, and independence is an extremely challenging task, but without it, the Ukrainian people cannot survive. Therefore, it is crucial that Ukrainians continue to resist, defend fundamental values, and thanks to their strength, change the course of history so that Ukraine can thrive and develop. I thank everyone who fights for our state as if it were their own cause,” the President and First Lady highlighted in a joint statement.
