On August 23 at 14:00 in Kyiv, a guided tour of the exhibition “Kherson. The steppe holds” will take place. The tour will be led by screenwriter and producer, one of the exhibition's creators, Daria Averchenko.

This information is available on the official page of the Mystetskyi Arsenal.

Entry to the tour is by ticket only, which can be purchased at the box office or online.

The exhibition “Kherson. The steppe holds” pays tribute to the Kherson region – the homeland of the project authors Roman Bondarchuk and Daria Averchenko. It showcases unique archival materials, videos, and photographs collected in the Kherson region before the large-scale invasion, including those that had not been publicly presented and gained particular significance in the context of the losses and challenges faced by the region and the country.

The project is based on films:

  • «Ukrainian Sheriffs» – revealing the role of communities and local self-government,
  • «The Editorial Office» – truth and post-truth in the political processes of modern Ukraine,
  • «Volcano» – fleeing from politics in the dystopian reality of southern Ukraine.

The exhibition unfolds across five halls of the Arsenal and also includes a hall of archival materials from Kherson photojournalist Andriy Matrosov and materials from the “War Archive” documenting Russian war crimes.
