In the fight for Ukraine's independence, many Kyiv police officers stand alongside the military on the front lines. They serve in the National Police's assault brigades, participating in the most challenging combat operations, leading assaults, and holding the line. Among them are tactical medics who save lives under enemy fire, evacuating the wounded from bombardments and providing first aid in extreme conditions.
An evacuation vehicle was transporting injured police assault unit members from the battles near Toretsk when it was hit by intense enemy fire.
Under fierce fire, ‘Sokil’ managed to pull his comrades to the nearest forest area and called for backup. After waiting for an armored vehicle, he safely extracted his colleagues from the danger zone and delivered them to a stabilization point, where currently four evacuated officers are in the hospital.
For their demonstrated heroism and bravery, the leadership of the Kyiv police has nominated ‘Sokil’ for a state award. Amidst the fire, smoke, and chaos, combat medics continue to save their comrades, remaining an unyielding support for soldiers on the front lines.
