The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during a working visit to Donetsk, presented special awards to the best marine soldiers.

This announcement was made on his Facebook page.

«Today, on the Day of the Naval Forces, I visited Donetsk again. This time, we are honoring the servicemen of the 36th and 38th Marine Brigades,» noted Syrskyi.

He emphasized that the soldiers of the brigades named after Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi and Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi are true heroes, as they steadfastly hold the line and actively combat the enemy on the front lines.

Syrskyi awarded marine soldiers the Commander-in-Chief's honors: the Cross of Bravery, Steel, Gold, and Silver Crosses, and the "Military Honor" cross.

«Sailors, soldiers, sergeants, and officers - from riflemen to reconnaissance and artillery chiefs. We are proud of the marine corps, which is the elite of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,» the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.

According to him, the «Storm Berets» exemplify strength and courage, repelling enemy attacks on the most challenging parts of the front.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky also met with servicemen and awarded state honors to the best among them, expressing gratitude for their service on the front lines.
