An official ceremony took place in Kyiv to honor medical workers with the «Saint Panteleimon Order».

The event «UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF ST. PANTELEIMON» brought together over 500 doctors who celebrated the nominees and winners of this prestigious award.

Prominent figures, including the Director of the Health Department Valentina Hintsburg, participated in the event.

The search for candidates for the award began in February 2025, with 23 medical institutions nominating 35 candidates.

This year, awards were presented in seven different categories.

The winner of the «Best Doctor» category was Anatoliy Ivaniuk, a cardiac surgeon from Kyiv Clinical Hospital No. 1.

In the «Innovator of the Year» category, Anatoliy Rudenko, a Doctor of Medical Sciences, took the prize.

The organization FRIDA Ukraine was recognized as the winner in the «Exemplar of Community Service» category.

The best nurse award went to Lyubov Martynchuk, the senior nurse of the trauma department.

In the «Health Fortress» category, the Kyiv Nephrology Center received the award.

Among military medics, Oksana Surova won the «Lifeline Support» category.

Irina Makarenko was honored in the «Hero of the Medical Front» category.

Valentina Hintsburg thanked all medical professionals for their dedication during the challenging times in Ukraine.

Additionally, a memorandum was signed in May this year to collaborate on the «Light of Memory» initiative.

The first event will honor fallen medics on July 10.
