Preparatory works are set to commence this month.
A large-scale project to establish a high-tech orthopedic and trauma center at the regional clinical hospital has started in the Kyiv region.
The announcement of the construction began during a ceremonial event featuring American businessman and philanthropist Della Loy Hansen, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba, and Deputy Health Minister Ihor Kuzin.
This information was provided by the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.
A symbolic capsule was ceremoniously laid on the future center's grounds, marking the project's initiation. Additionally, the first magnolia trees were planted in the park near the hospital, named after the benefactor.
The project is being implemented in partnership between the Kyiv Regional State Administration and the charity fund “Hansen’s Mission in Ukraine.”
Preparatory works are set to commence this month.
The medical facility will be fully inclusive, with autonomous energy supply, including solar panels. It will feature two operating rooms, an intensive care unit, and a shelter. Approximately 480 specialists from various fields will work at the center: surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, therapy, and maxillofacial surgery, among others.
The new center will provide a complete cycle of assistance—from surgical interventions and prosthetics to rehabilitation and reintegration into active life. It will become a crucial element of the medical recovery system in Ukraine, aiding both military personnel and civilians affected by Russian aggression.
