As of the end of July 2025, the total state and government guaranteed debt of Ukraine reached $186.13 billion, an increase of $1.29 billion over the month.
This information was provided by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
As of July 31, 2025, Ukraine's debt in hryvnias amounted to 7,773.87 billion UAH, equivalent to $186.13 billion.
"In July 2025, the debt amount increased by 76.92 billion UAH in the local currency equivalent, with the dollar equivalent rising by $1.29 billion," the statement said.
Specifically, the external debt stood at 5,827.95 billion UAH (74.97% of the total), which is $139.54 billion, while the internal debt was 1,945.92 billion UAH (25.03% of the total), equivalent to $46.59 billion.
The state debt of Ukraine was 7,477.52 billion UAH (96.19% of the total), which corresponds to $179.03 billion. The government guaranteed debt was 296.35 billion UAH (3.81%), or $7.1 billion.
According to IMF projections, Ukraine's total state debt may rise to 110% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) this year.
