Swiss Companies to Contribute to Ukraine's Reconstruction

Twelve Swiss companies are receiving funding for projects aimed at the reconstruction of Ukraine's infrastructure.

The Swiss Confederation is supporting Ukraine's reconstruction by funding 12 companies.

This was announced by the Swiss government.

It is noted that the funded projects will focus on infrastructure, public transport, healthcare, and humanitarian demining. The Swiss private sector will contribute to Ukraine's recovery efforts leveraging its expertise and high-quality innovative products, as stated in the announcement.

The total budget for the selected projects exceeds 112 million francs, with Switzerland providing 93 million francs and the rest coming from companies and Ukrainian partners.

The implementation of these projects is scheduled to begin in the fall.

Among the companies involved are Roche Diagnostics International Ltd, which will establish medical laboratories in public hospitals, Innovatec Med Switzerland AG - which will create a radiotherapy center for cancer treatment, Glas Trösch Holding AG – which will replace over 32,000 windows, REHAU Verwaltungszentrale AG - which will install new locally manufactured doors and windows, and Arthur Flury AG – which will develop air power lines for the Ukrainian railway system, among others.

Switzerland is also investing 18.5 million francs to continue supporting educational reforms and decentralization in Ukraine.
