Naftogaz has entered into a new gas procurement agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, amounting to 500 million euros.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko via Telegram.
"This is a record agreement for Ukraine — 500 million euros for gas procurement. It marks the largest project of the bank in our country," she stated.
Svyrydenko added that this credit is granted for the first time under an EU guarantee, without a Ukrainian state guarantee.
"This will enable Ukraine to better prepare for the heating season and ensure warmth and light in Ukrainian homes even during the most challenging winter days. I thank the EBRD and the EU for their support, and the government team and Naftogaz for their professional efforts," the Prime Minister noted.
