Yesterday, law enforcement learned about an incident that occurred near a synagogue in the Obolon district of Kyiv through social media.
Three unidentified individuals instigated a confrontation with a member of the religious community, during which they used irritant gas and then fled the scene.
As part of the investigation, officers, along with criminal analysis specialists, identified the offenders and brought them to the Obolon police department. They were local residents aged 15 and 16, students of a city school and college. Currently, investigators and juvenile police officers are in communication with the minors and their parents.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for gross violation of public order motivated by open disrespect for society, characterized by exceptional audacity and cynicism.
