The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended two agents of the Russian military intelligence who were involved in adjusting airstrikes on Ukraine. The suspects were preparing for new missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and Odessa. According to the investigation, their aim was to locate and relay the positions of Defense Forces to the occupiers. Additionally, the agents were assessing the consequences of enemy strikes on civilian infrastructure to adjust for subsequent attacks.

️ In Kyiv, a 31-year-old man from temporarily occupied Melitopol was arrested. He was sent by Russian intelligence to spy in the capital. Under the orders of military intelligence, the agent was tasked with identifying and relaying the locations of military repair bases. Furthermore, he monitored the times of maximum crowd concentration near recruiting centers.

️ In Odessa, a former military officer was discovered to have collaborated with Russian intelligence after her service. In exchange for money from the occupiers, she provided coordinates of the locations of the maritime protection units and National Guard in the port city. However, the investigation revealed that she never received the promised money from Russia.

The SBU has charged both suspects with treason under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed in a state of war). They are currently in custody without the possibility of bail and face life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
