Arrest Made for Arson of Military Vehicle

A man has been arrested for setting fire to a vehicle used by military personnel, facing up to eight years in prison.

A resident of Bilozerkivshchyna has been arrested for setting fire to a vehicle belonging to military recruitment center staff on behalf of an aggressor country. He risks up to eight years in prison.
A center employee reported the fire to the police. Together with colleagues, they managed to extinguish the flames.
Law enforcement found that a 36-year-old suspect approached the recruitment center at night, where a Nissan Navara was parked. Using a homemade flammable liquid, he ignited the rear of the vehicle and left the scene.
Security Service of Ukraine operatives, along with police, identified the perpetrator. He was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Based on the collected evidence, the Volodarsky District Prosecutor's Office informed the suspect of charges for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period (part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
