Detectives from the Economic Security Bureau have revealed an illegal scheme involving the importation of vehicles disguised as humanitarian aid.
This was reported by the press service of the Bureau.
The investigation established that the individuals involved forged requests from charitable organizations, claiming a need for vehicles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As a result, the perpetrators avoided paying customs duties and taxes on the imported vehicles. The vehicles were sold for cash.
During authorized searches, detectives seized 5 vehicles registered to charitable organizations, along with documents, notes, computer equipment, and mobile phones.
