Under the supervision of the Novobavar district prosecutor's office in Kharkiv, a 36-year-old man has been charged for attacking police officers and representatives of the TCC and SP.
This information was reported by the Office of the Attorney General.
He is accused of endangering the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and attempted intentional murder of two or more individuals in connection with their official duties (Part 2 of Article 15, Items 1, 8 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
On August 14, 2025, at approximately 22:15 in Kharkiv, a police officer, along with TCC and SP employees, was notifying reservists about mobilization measures during martial law.
During these activities, the police officer approached the man to check his documents. He had no time to say anything. At that moment, the man pulled out a knife and struck the officer in the temple. Subsequently, the assailant attacked three TCC employees in turn: one — with a knife to the head and arm, another — to the head and collarbone area, and the last one — to the torso.
The suspect immediately fled into the courtyards and attempted to hide. However, law enforcement quickly located him.
The man has been placed in custody without the right to bail.
The victims are currently receiving medical aid in hospitals.
The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the SV VP No. 1 of the Kharkiv Region Police Department.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a lawful manner by a court verdict.
