Kyiv law enforcement has wrapped up an investigation into a group of individuals who made over 200 unauthorized accesses to state registries, entering false information about purported notarial acts.

In June, investigators, in collaboration with cyber police, identified a 39-year-old woman who, intending to leave the country, transferred her notarial powers to a friend, granting her access to her notary practice and login credentials for state registries.

During the investigation, it was discovered that during the 45 days the notary was absent from Ukraine, her friend made over 200 unauthorized entries into the registries, falsifying information about notarial actions.

Investigators have charged both women under multiple articles of the Criminal Code, including forgery of documents and organizing unauthorized access to information systems, leading to data breaches.

The case has been forwarded to court, where the two women face up to 15 years in prison and potential bans on specific professional activities.
