The police in Kyiv have opened a criminal investigation regarding the display of Nazi symbols in social media. Yesterday, while monitoring online content, officers from the criminal analysis department discovered a post featuring a 23-year-old woman posing with a Nazi flag.

The woman shared this image on her social media page. Investigators from the Svyatoshyn police department recorded information about this event in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under part 1 of Article 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the production and distribution of Nazi and communist symbols.

As part of the ongoing criminal investigation, law enforcement seized the flag as material evidence. The pre-trial investigation is underway, and the article's sanctions can lead to up to five years in prison along with property confiscation.
