Authorities in Kyiv, in collaboration with the SBU and the city prosecutor's office, have uncovered criminal activities related to medical education.
It has been established that a 26-year-old foreign national residing in Kyiv was assisting students from a medical university in passing exams for a fee without adequate preparation.
Students, including those from other countries, handed over $9,000 to ensure they would pass the exam. Subsequently, while taking the test, they submitted blank personalized answer sheets, which were later filled in with correct answers to guarantee a successful outcome.
Currently, one episode of the corruption scheme has been documented.
The individual has been charged under parts 5 and 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries severe penalties of up to ten years in prison and disqualification from holding certain positions.
Investigators continue to pursue leads to identify other participants involved in the forgery of examination documents.
