In Kyiv, police apprehended a man who discharged fireworks from his apartment balcony, causing concern among residents. The individual, under the influence of alcohol, faces a potential sentence of up to five years in prison.

Authorities were alerted to the situation, prompting a swift response from a local investigative unit. The offender, a 43-year-old local resident, was found to have a blood alcohol level of 3.11 promille. He claimed he was celebrating a family occasion.

Law enforcement seized the used pyrotechnic device from the scene, and the man was charged under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for hooliganism, which carries a penalty of up to five years of restriction of liberty.
