Drug Dealers Arrested in Kyiv

In the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv, police arrested three young men for selling psychotropic substances.

In Kyiv's Desnyanskyi district, law enforcement officers apprehended three young men involved in the illegal sale of psychotropic drugs.

The suspects, aged 18 to 19, were caught on the street with a significant amount of illegal substances. Following a search of their rented apartment, police seized additional drugs and other material evidence. The young men have been charged and are currently in custody. They face up to twelve years in prison along with asset confiscation for their crimes.

The arrests were made by the criminal police. During a personal search, officers found polyethylene zip bags containing psychotropic substances.

It was established that the accomplices traveled from the Cherkasy region to Kyiv to earn money illegally by selling psychotropic drugs. Investigators conducted a search of their residence, where they found the drugs, scales, and packaging materials.

Forensic analysis confirmed that the seized items included amphetamines and MDMA. The suspects are two 19-year-olds and an 18-year-old, apprehended under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Under the supervision of the Desnyanskyi District Prosecutor's Office, investigators charged them under Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal acquisition and possession with intent to sell particularly dangerous psychotropic substances in especially large amounts, committed by a group of individuals based on prior conspiracy. The court has remanded them in custody.

According to the sanctions of the article, the suspects face up to twelve years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
