The Security Service of Ukraine, in collaboration with the National Police, is carrying out planned security operations in the central area of Kyiv.
The main objective of these operations is to evaluate the anti-terrorism protection of locations with large gatherings of people.
During these operations, law enforcement will:
- inspect the area and specific buildings and premises (residences, offices, public spaces in apartment buildings, service establishments, etc.) to identify prohibited items;
- check the identities of individuals present in the area;
- assess the anti-terrorism security status of local facilities.
These operations will be conducted in accordance with the legal framework of martial law.
During these operations, there may be restrictions on pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the city streets, as well as document checks and vehicle inspections.
The SBU urges the public to be understanding of any inconveniences and to respond appropriately to the lawful actions and requests of law enforcement.
Additionally, it is essential to carry personal identification documents and adhere to the curfew.
We emphasize that the Security Service maintains the principles of legality and constitutional integrity of citizens' rights and freedoms in its activities.
