Law enforcement in Sumy has apprehended a woman from Kyiv Oblast who was involved in pimping and establishing locations for prostitution. The operation was carried out by migration police officers in collaboration with investigators from the Sumy Regional Police Department under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
It was revealed that a 33-year-old woman was recruiting residents from different cities of Ukraine for sexual services. She facilitated their activities in Sumy, where she rented apartments and created conditions for prostitution. The cost of such services ranged from 4000 to 6000 UAH.
Investigators conducted searches at the suspect's residence in Kyiv and at the rented apartment in Sumy, where women provided intimate services.
During the searches, the following items were seized: mobile phones, bank and SIM cards, receipts, cash, contraceptive devices, and other material evidence.
The woman has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 303 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — pimping or involving a person in prostitution, committed repeatedly or by a group of persons in conspiracy.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and the police are taking all necessary measures to identify other possible participants in the criminal scheme.
