Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his stance on the night strikes carried out by Russia, stating that Ukraine needs a real ceasefire and is ready for it.

Details: Zelensky reminded that on the night of May 4, rescuers in Kyiv were extinguishing fires caused by Russian drone attacks in residential areas, while a dormitory was burning in Cherkasy.

The President reported that most of the 165 drones used by Russia on Sunday were Iranian "Shaheds." They targeted areas in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions.

Zelensky's direct quote: "Russians are asking for silence on May 9, yet they continue to strike Ukraine every day. This is cynicism at its highest level...

... A real ceasefire is needed. Ukraine is ready for silence starting any day, but at least for a month, to end the war. If there is silence, it should be every day; if there is a ceasefire, it should not only be during their holidays, but every day."
