Since 2022, Ukraine has been awarded 913 billion UAH in compensation for damages caused by the war, affecting both individuals and businesses.
This information comes from a study conducted by the "Opendatabot" project.
The largest awarded sum was 328 million UAH for a citizen from Kharkiv, while citizens from Zaporizhia managed to claim 170 million UAH each.
Among businesses, the agricultural company "Magnat" topped the list with 180 billion UAH in the first case and 67 billion UAH in the second. The Alchevsk Coke Chemical Plant follows with a compensation of 12 billion UAH.
A rather unusual case involved a man from Khmelnytskyi who sought 999 quadrillion UAH. The largest rejected claim from a business was significantly lower at 61.9 million UAH.
According to "Opendatabot", at least 1,482 court decisions regarding compensation claims against Russia have been recorded.
It is noted that 239 decisions fully satisfied the claims, while 39 were rejected last year concerning citizens. Businesses have generally fared better in these claims, winning 224 cases and only losing 3.
This year, courts have managed to satisfy 53 claims and reject 6 from Ukrainians, whereas for businesses, they satisfied 68 claims and did not reject any.
