According to the police statement: "The incident took place on April 22 in Balakliia. While driving along a forest road, the driver encountered an explosive device, presumably an anti-tank mine. The explosion resulted in the man’s death at the scene."

Details: Law enforcement emphasized that the threat of mines in de-occupied territories remains extremely high.

"Avoid entering forests, cemeteries, or thickets; do not use unverified paths and roads, and under no circumstances approach or touch suspicious objects. If you discover a dangerous item – immediately call 101 or 102," the police advised.
