Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated after the report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, that Russian forces violated the "Easter ceasefire" 2935 times. He emphasized that Ukrainian actions will be "mirror" responses to the actions of the Russians.
Direct quote from Zelensky: "The total number of violations by the Russian army of their own promise of silence for this day is 2935".
Details: Zelensky noted that the most shelling and assault actions occurred in the Pokrovsk direction.
The President added that "the Russian promise of complete silence did not spread to the Kursk direction either".
According to Zelensky, there were a total of 96 Russian assault actions on the front lines, 1882 shellings of Ukrainian positions, including 812 from heavy weaponry, and more than 950 instances of Russian FPV drones being used.
Direct quote from Zelensky: "On this day, Moscow did not have enough time to respond to the proposal for a complete ceasefire for the next 30 days after Easter, nor to the suggestion to at least maintain silence in the air regarding civilian infrastructure and refrain from missile and drone strikes.
The nature of Ukrainian actions will remain mirrored: we will respond to silence with silence, and our strikes will defend against Russian attacks. Actions always speak louder than words".
